Boston got his tonsils removed

So April has been a ton of fun... The first week of April was spring break and Ryan was out of town so we went to Ohma and Opa's house. Madi Came with us and it was nice having an extra set of hands. We had a fun time at the park and spending time together.  We left a day earlier than I planned so we could help Melissa, Henry was not doing well and he had to have his tonsils removed the next day and she couldn't take the other kids with her. We picked up Hailee to sleep over and got to meet Olivia for the first time. Ryan got home on the 8th and on the 9th we had our family dental cleanings. We had been talking with Boston and preparing him for getting his tonsils removed and when we went to the dentist for our cleaning we had scared him and he thought the dentist was going to take them out and would not sit down and let the dentist look at him. I felt so bad but the dentist was understanding and said sometimes kids are hit and miss and we could make another appointment for him. I felt so bad and it made me so nervous about when he was going to really get his tonsils out two days later.  Ryan was home and my mom came down because I could not find anyone to watch Peyton who could not go with  us to Boston's surgery. So mom offered to keep Peyton and get Sammy from school if we weren't back. We got a call in the morning saying they were running ahead of schedule and wanted us to be there about 30 min early which meant to had to get ready to go, so we did!! We got down to Salt lake and got Boston checked in, I am so glad we chose to do it at Primary Children's Hospital because there were lots of toys and they were good at keeping Boston distracted and talking to him so he wasn't scared. When they came to take him back Ryan and I could not go with him  and I was so nervous but Boston said good bye and drove his car right back with the anestesiologist. They came and told us everything went well and when he woke we could go see him. I was the first to go back and he was crying and it about broke my heart it was all I could do not to cry as I tried to calm him down.  We told him  he had to drink something and calm down or he couldn't go home cause all he wanted to do was go home. They transferred us to the recovery room  and let Ryan come back.  Boston just kept trying to fall back asleep on my lap while the nurses gave us the run down of after surgery care and finish paper work. He kept drinking when we asked and just kept asking to go home and the nurse was doing her best to get us out of there. They even gave him a stuffed animal, he picked the dog of course. We stopped and got some lunch and Bostons prescriptions, Boston slept the whole way home, I sat in the back with him and kept fixing his head when it fell over and wiping his drool. After we got home he woke up and wanted to go to the park, Crazy kid!!! Seriously the hardest part of his after surgery care was keeping him from over doing it, and getting him to let us give him the medicine... we had to think of different ways to sneek it to him. Ryan also got to be home for his birthday and we had a nice dinner and some cake to celebrate. Which I took pictures of on my new iphone 4!!

Doctor says what??

This month has been full of interesting things. We found out Boston might need to have his tonsils removed so we made an apt with an ENT and he determined that Boston would most likely benefit from having his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes placed in his ears.  Boston had a field trip to the fire station this month and I was the teacher that week so on Tuesday we talked about fire safety and related things and at the field trip on Thursday I was glad they seemed to have absorbed something. Sammy started soccer again and is loving it, she is loving that it is an all girls team and her friend Kaylee is on her team. Tabitha was coming through and got to stop at moms and have a visit and that weekend  mom and dad came down for a weekend getaway. Friday we helped mom finish her school tests and things then we went to Sammys soccer practice and then swimming.  Ryan got home the next day and we got to go get a couples massage and mom and dad took the kids to their house and we went out to lunch and had a nice afternoon. The we went up to mom and dads to see Richard get ordained to an Elder.  We are all so proud of him!!! Now to start filling out mission papers. Peyton is going through a pacifier phase. At first she only wanted one when she saw another baby with one, mainly Addi, but now she is going through a phase where if she sees one she wants it and will suck on it for all day if we let her. It is driving Ryan crazy he keeps taking them away, if we get it when she is not paying attention she does ok until she sees another one... guess it is time to go on a binky hunt and hide them all. I had a doctors appointment on the 26th because the mole on the back of my head had started bothering me. The doctor said I should have it removed, not really what I wanted to hear when I knew Boston was going to be having his tonsils removed. So I made an appointment for the 7th of May. Easter was on the 31st and it was also Gracee's birthday so shauna had a big party!! We were a little late cause we went up right after church and they now live an hour away. But it was a nice party and we were missing Ryan cause he couldn't be there. The kids got their baskets from the Easter Bunny on Saturday Morning and we tried to do an egg hunt at Sonic with Madi... not my best idea. This month has been full of ups and downs and we are preparing for next month.
