This is my October post

Ok so technically it is November but I wanted to get the Halloween pics in the October post so we are a bit late. *Shrugs* October was a good month Ryan did a little traveling but was home for a large part of it, Thank goodness. I worked on the kids Halloween costumes and Sammy and Boston went to school. We had a surprise trip to Lagoon, which was nice I didn't think we would make it this year but Shauna and Seth invited us to come along so we thought sure why not!! The kids loved it and it was a great day! Ryan left around 2 to go to a BYU game with Gifford and Jared. The kids and I invited Shauna's family to join us for dinner at the ward chili cook off and harvest party. The kids got their face painted and did a cup cake walk and played games for treats, there was even some dancing!! Then we ate Chili and pie it was a fun evening to finish a fun filled day! We had our dental cleanings this month and Samantha and I each had a small cavity that needed filled other than that it all looked good, Boston actually let them check him out(a little reluctantly). For Halloween we decided to stay around our neighborhood for trick or treating and invited family to join us. After dropping Sammy at school Boston, Peyton and I met Stephanie and Addi at the hospital to do the trick or treat walk, they got way to much candy already!! Then we made to Boston's preschool Halloween party, more treats go figure. Then it was home for lunch and a nap for Peyton. After that we went to Samantha's Halloween party at school and then stopped for some dry ice and home to get ready for dinner. Stephanie, Travis and Addi joined us, and so did Melissa, Hailee, Henry, and Baby Olivia. When we left to trick or treat our friends across the street were headed out to so we got to trick or treat with them and the kids (especially Boston) loved it!! Boston and Ledger are great friends!!! We went around the neighborhood for a couple hours and then we visited with Sally, Liz and Grandma Elmer then off to Grandma and Grandpa Carroll's!! It was a late night but thank goodness for no school the next day! October was fun and I an looking forward to the holidays to come!!

July flew by!

There really isn't much to report for July. Poor little Boston got impetigo. He started breaking out with these weird soars around his nose and mouth so I took him to see the doctor when the didn't go away. Then when we were sitting down having lunch I looked at him and thought his cheeks looked a little puffy, Ryan said he looked fine so I thought maybe he is just filling out a little and I am just noticing, but when I looked at him again it was worse! I asked Ryan if he noticed it now and he said yeah a little so I called the nurse help line and they didn't seem to know, I called the doctors office, because it was a holiday there weren't many people there but the nurse said it was a common side effect of impetigo. At first it didn't bother him much but he did have a couple nights that he woke up and he was hurting, my poor boy.  Other than that we had a great 4th!!! Ryan of course wanted to go crazy on fire works but I tried to keep it reasonable, even though that meant taking a tiny road trip to Evanston, WY to buy them. But lost of Ryan's Family joined us in setting them off and we had a nice evening. The kids seemed to do well Peyton wasn't a fan of the loud ones but as long as she was on my lap with her ears covered she did alright!! We were even able to go to a ward cul-de-sac of fire the weekend before the 4th and visit with some ward members. Ryan did some traveling still and the Scamahorn's decided they were moving, so not fair!! The kids were gone already and it has been hard on Samantha she misses Kaylee, and Peyton misses Madi go figure. I miss them to, we still go over and I visit with Nanette but I feel lonely without my friend. I don't know what I will do once they are gone. I have started trying to make new friends there is a neighbor across the street named Jan and she and I have been talking and she is really nice and the kids love to play over there, she is easy to talk to and I find myself talking longer than I planed and about things Ryan gives me a hard time about. We have been having super fun play dates with Stephanie and Melissa, it has been great to get out and play with some cousins this summer. We went to the ribbon cutting for Sammy's new school and got to take a tour it looks nice I hope she really enjoys it we got to see her class, but we still haven't met her teacher, hopefully on back to school night! Well I think that's all for now more later!!

June, Summer has begun!!

Ok so I missed May but there wasn't much exciting that happened. I had my mole removed and Ryan drove me to the hospital and my Mom came down to stay with Boston and Peyton. Everything went well and Ryan left that night. My mom stayed for a couple days, and Thank goodness because I was having a harder time than I thought. But I am recovering nicely and we are doing well.

June has been lots of fun. The kids got out of school and we started having play dates every Tuesday with Stephanie and Melissa! On Tuesday the 18th Boston had his follow up with The E.N.T. and he said everything is looking good and healing well.  Then the morning of the 19th my parents drove down with Schyla and her kids and we headed for Las Vegas!!! We were all so excited to see Tabitha and her kids and go through the temple with her! It was a long day and the kids did so well in the car we had movies and games and toys and lots of snacks to keep them occupied. We stopped for lunch and to go to the bathroom a few times but we made good time and got there around 6pm. Tabitha then made spaghetti and we just tried to relax. I was having a hard time I was thinking it was because I hadn't eaten well enough and I was sore and stiff from riding in the car and I had a sore throat. Thursday we had a little scare when Boston had some mark on his arm that was either a nasty bug bite or a burn and we thought we would have to run to the hospital, we called the nurse help line and we were pretty sure it wasn't serious so we put ointment on it and decided to wait it out. Then while I was trying to eat dinner I could swallow my throat was hurting even worse and I was out of the Tylenol I had brought so Tabitha gave me Advil. Mom thought it would be smart to look at my throat and sure enough I had some nice red tonsils and white puss all over. So I called the nurse help line back to find out if there was an in network doctors office I could go too. Sure enough they told me I had swollen tonsils and strep throat :( boo for that. We went and got my prescription and I did a lot of resting. That night Cora got in but I didn't go to pick her up cause I wasn't feeling well enough. Friday we spent some time hanging out and getting ready to go to the temple. It was such a nice experience going through with another one of my sisters. It is great to see her taking positive steps in her life and I hope things continue to work out for them. I forgot to take my pain meds with me and I was in lots of pain by the end so the ride to Tabitha's house felt super long. Mom and Dad and Schyla left the next day because Mom had an appointment on Monday and Dad had to get back to work. I didn't leave with them because I still wasn't feeling well enough to drive all day. So I stayed and relaxed with Tabitha and Cora. We got to go to a cool park Cora did Tabitha's family pics, we had a pizza buffet one night and got to see some of down town Las Vegas. Me and the kids were going to leave Monday and never did because I just didn't feel in any hurry we started to leave on Tuesday but turned around cause we forgot a few things. Wednesday we actually made it home and the drive wasn't too bad, the kids did super great until near the end. Over all we had a good vacation and this summer is going well!!!

Boston got his tonsils removed

So April has been a ton of fun... The first week of April was spring break and Ryan was out of town so we went to Ohma and Opa's house. Madi Came with us and it was nice having an extra set of hands. We had a fun time at the park and spending time together.  We left a day earlier than I planned so we could help Melissa, Henry was not doing well and he had to have his tonsils removed the next day and she couldn't take the other kids with her. We picked up Hailee to sleep over and got to meet Olivia for the first time. Ryan got home on the 8th and on the 9th we had our family dental cleanings. We had been talking with Boston and preparing him for getting his tonsils removed and when we went to the dentist for our cleaning we had scared him and he thought the dentist was going to take them out and would not sit down and let the dentist look at him. I felt so bad but the dentist was understanding and said sometimes kids are hit and miss and we could make another appointment for him. I felt so bad and it made me so nervous about when he was going to really get his tonsils out two days later.  Ryan was home and my mom came down because I could not find anyone to watch Peyton who could not go with  us to Boston's surgery. So mom offered to keep Peyton and get Sammy from school if we weren't back. We got a call in the morning saying they were running ahead of schedule and wanted us to be there about 30 min early which meant to had to get ready to go, so we did!! We got down to Salt lake and got Boston checked in, I am so glad we chose to do it at Primary Children's Hospital because there were lots of toys and they were good at keeping Boston distracted and talking to him so he wasn't scared. When they came to take him back Ryan and I could not go with him  and I was so nervous but Boston said good bye and drove his car right back with the anestesiologist. They came and told us everything went well and when he woke we could go see him. I was the first to go back and he was crying and it about broke my heart it was all I could do not to cry as I tried to calm him down.  We told him  he had to drink something and calm down or he couldn't go home cause all he wanted to do was go home. They transferred us to the recovery room  and let Ryan come back.  Boston just kept trying to fall back asleep on my lap while the nurses gave us the run down of after surgery care and finish paper work. He kept drinking when we asked and just kept asking to go home and the nurse was doing her best to get us out of there. They even gave him a stuffed animal, he picked the dog of course. We stopped and got some lunch and Bostons prescriptions, Boston slept the whole way home, I sat in the back with him and kept fixing his head when it fell over and wiping his drool. After we got home he woke up and wanted to go to the park, Crazy kid!!! Seriously the hardest part of his after surgery care was keeping him from over doing it, and getting him to let us give him the medicine... we had to think of different ways to sneek it to him. Ryan also got to be home for his birthday and we had a nice dinner and some cake to celebrate. Which I took pictures of on my new iphone 4!!
